DC/VA Part 2

After touring D.C., we headed out to Lake Anna where we meet up with friends and family for a wonderfully fun and relaxing time. All ten of us stayed at the Lake Anna Lake House - a 6,000 square foot two-story house containing 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 4 kitchens.

Funny side note - yes that's a pirate flag. We found it and hoisted it up for a few hours. From then on, our trip suddenly became pirate themed. Arrrrr!

There was plenty to keep us entertained. A gazebo, tiki bar overlooking Lake Anna, game room, and a ton of lawn sports including badminton, volleyball and croquet.

We also enjoyed a 10-or-so-person pontoon boat. If you click and enlarge the pic below from our boat ride, you can see cows. The lake originally was all farm land.

Since we are located all over the United States, every year our group gets together to catch up, have fun and relax. This place will definitely stay on our list for returning visits. I think the lake house would also be fantastic for family reunions, too. It's such a wonderful place to getaway!
