Let me give you a little bit of hair history...I've always had uber thick hair. And by thick I mean when my mom would try to put my hair in a ponytail as a child she couldn't even get the rubberband to wrap twice! Fast forward to now and my hair has thinned some but I've always been doomed with looooong blow-drying sessions.
Well my buddy over at Sally Beauty Supplies saved the day a few weeks ago when she sent me a Tool Science Ceramic Hair Dryer. That night my life changed a bit! My hair drying time went from 40 minutes to 10. And the underside of my hair is totally dry too! Using a round brush I'm often able to leave my Chi turned off too! Oh and let me mention the shiny, smooth hair benefits too. I haven't switched shampoo since I started using this dryer and the first time I used it I noticed how much softer and smoother my hair is!
So yea, I'm sold! The dryer runs about $60 but it is SO worth it for all the time I'm saving. And my hair looks and feels great too so I'm just loving it. I hadn't been to Sally Beauty Supply since high school when I was searching for dance recital supplies but this gadget has me thinking they could be a girl's best friend!

Summer Skin

I got my hands on a Schick Intuition razor and gave a try. After all smooth, silky (and hairless, ahem) legs are a must have summer accessory. I love this little gadget! It left my legs just as I'd hoped. I liked how the razor was substantial enough to not slip and slide in the shower. The built skin conditioner (it's in the cartridge!) really ups the smoothness and saves you a little dough as you won't have to buy shaving gel ever again. If you're ready to enjoy your summer and show off your legs then be sure to grab one of my new favorite razors.

Wholearth

Wholearth is a new line of bath + beauty by Danny Seo. You can bet coming from the green king himself that these products are all natural, organic and totally eco-friendly. The packaging is quite lovely too and of course made from 100% post-consumer materials! I'd be delighted to try anything from the collection but that natural bamboo body scrub is really calling my name. Select anthropologie stores are carrying Danny's goodies.

Fresh Gloss
At Sephora, I also picked up this Fresh Gloss which boasts slick, shiny lips with a fresh + minty scent. Fresh breath and shiny lips? Yep. And it's nice and tingly {much like this plumping product}. And it's long lasting. It's quickly become my new fave.
Hair Dyer Love

Remember my hair dryer hunt? Well, I finally used my Christmas gift card and purchased the T3 Bespoke Labs Overnight Dyer. And, I love, love it! It's small. It swivels to be very compact for traveling. It also has the nozzle thingy even though in all the research I did, I never read that it was included. I'm happy about that. I'm also happy at how quickly my hair dries and how shiny and sleek it is! {And trust me, I was totally a doubter!}

OPI Again

Yep we love OPI at Coveiter. I was hunting for a new polish yesterday...kind of a transitional polish. Nothing to Wintery nor Spring like. OPI has a new line called South Beach with loads of pretty shades. I picked up "Sand in my Suit" as it is a perfect pretty neutral that will ease me into Spring.

elizabeth W

I was gifted a couple fragrances I'd been longing for (for Christmas of course). One was Magnolia from elizabethW. I kind of stumbled upon this small perfumery out of San Fran and fell in love with this scent they describe as:
"Summer nights, romance, America's Old South. White magnolia petals deepened with saffron and sandalwood mingle with Riviera mimosa and gardenia."
Quite perfect for a Southern girl like me! elizabethW also has other scents like sweet tea, leaves and rose to name a few. Aaaaaand in additon to eau de perfume they also have a wealth of other gifts for bath, body and home.

Shampoo + Conditioner

During our stay in Maui, our room stayed stocked with L'Occitane products. I fell for their Shea Butter Ultra Rich shampoo + conditioner. It's super moisturizing, just what my sun damaged hair needed.

VitaminShampoo

After a shoot this weekend, I popped into a local drug store for a cold drink. Doesn't it seem like drug stores always have the latest greatest beauty supplies before anyone else? Well, my latest find is VitaminShampoo, like the VitaminWater. With a mail-in coupon, trying it out will end up costing me a wopping $0 so I decided to give it a try since they smelled so yummy! I brought home the acai berry guava...boy does it smell heavenly! After trying it my one complaint it is a littler hard to get a sudsy lather going but once you do it leaves your hair uber shiny. Plus you know vitamins can't hurt!

Glowelle

Glowelle is as close to beauty in a jar as I've found. Deemed a delightful beauty drink, Glowelle is packed with skin-beautifying antioxidants to nourish and hydrate skin from within. As you can probably guess this tonic is supposed to leave your skin glowing and they do provide some proof. As of now the beautifier is only available at Neiman Marcus. With flavors like Raspberry Jasmine and Pomegranate Lychee they may be worth a tasty try.

Lash Stash

Tired of your same ole same ole mascara? Looking to sample a few ones to find your new fave? Well, thanks to Sephora, you can do just that with their travel sized sampler. 10 petite mascaras for nearly the cost of one. And I'm talkin' good ones, too!

Olive You
I'd like to hunt down one person that doesn't like Method. The company is great--what's not to love? Great packaging, wonderful product and greeny goodness. My latest method addiction? Their natural moisturizing body wash in olive leaf. It has a great lather, leaves my skin oh so soft and smells delish! Seriously, try it!

Bronzing + Blushing

I finally found a fabulous bronzer. Not too dark. Not too orange. Not to sparkly. It's Nars Laguna.
You can also find it in a duo with it's blush counterpart, Orgasm (I know, I know). Orgasm is a very pink/peach blush that's very friendly to various skin tones. For the past 5 years, it's been a winner of "Best of Sephora." I love it and highly recommend it, too. (You can stop snickering.)

The Mascara
Blocked Ad
Sephora just started carrying my hands-down-favorite-ever mascara, perfectly named The MascaraBlocked Ad. They have a volume oneBlocked Ad, but I personally love the curling oneBlocked Ad. And by love, I mean nothing compares. Nothing.
Right now SephoraBlocked Ad is having a promotion. Order $25 and get 7 free eye samples with the code EYESAMPLES. If you're looking for a fantastic, non-clump, long lash mascara that stays fresh all day, give this Kevyn Aucoin's classic a shot.

Sisters, Sunflowers and a Smile
My only sister is moving across the country at the end of this week. A big change for my family since we all live within driving distance and of course for me--she's my best friend. She's nervous too, to venture into unknown territory leaving friends + family behind. The other day while in line at a department store I saw something that gave me an idea to ease the lonliness.
She and I both were discussing the desire for a new scent earlier in the day (seems that is going around!) And there on the counter and on sale were two bottles of Sunflowers Perfume by Elizabeth Arden. When my sister was just old enough to get into makeup and fragrances and other grown up things her scent of choice was this perfume. The smell of it will always make me think of her and of those days when we were young and carefree.
We each bought a bottle and the idea is. Whenever she or I are feeling especially lonely we'll spray on the scent. A little way of knowing that we are always with each other no matter how far away.
Luckily the pefume actually smells really nice and evokes a nice summer feeling. Because it is old and relatively unpopular now it is also dirt cheap! Surprisingly while shopping last week we were complimented on the scent we were wearing too. Added bonus! Pick some up for a cheap summery alternative to your normal scent
Perfect Pedis
I inadvertently found the perfect summer nail polish while scrounging through my mom's make up bag before our trip. She always manages to pick colors I wouldn't normally pick up but are perfect. Her recent addition was OPI's "Suzi sells Sushi by the Seashore." It is a the perfect shade of pink: not too neutral, not too vibrant, juuuuuust right. It looks perfect against sun kissed skin and thus I've deemed it this summer's perfect pedicure polish. Say that three times fast!
**Note**
I apologize for slapping up a stock photo when I could have presented a photo of the polish in use. But I gotta admit I'm not too keen on posting my tootsies. We just aren't that kind of blog. You'll have to take my word for it + try it yourself, k?

Signature Scent

I'm on the look out for a new scent. I've been wearing Bond No. 9 Chelsea Flowers and Chanel No. 5
for years. I adore them both and I have specific memories attached to each. Chelsea reminds me of my dating hubby days. Chanel is what I wore on our wedding day. Both will always have a special place in my heart. However, I'm looking for something new. I feel like I've tried a ton of perfumes, but non are IT. And when you find IT, it's oh so wonderful. It's an instant connection. That's what I'm longing for. Something special and unique. So, tell me. What's your signature scent?

On The Pink Trail
A little further along on the Hair Dryer Hunt, I just discovered the T3 Jet Set. It's the same price as the regular white overnight one and even comes with a pink case. And it's a limited-edition. Which means I pretty much automatically want it.
