With gas prices soaring and summer here, we thought we'd put together a fun little vacation swap that you don't have to leave home to enjoy. Your mailman will deliver your getaway right to your door!
To participate follow these easy steps.
- Shoot us an email at coveiter {at} gmail {dot} com with Vacation Swap in the subject line by midnight, Wednesday, June 18. Please include your name, address, email address, and website/blog address (if you have one).
- Put together a box that will take your swap partner on a virtual visit to your area. What to include in your box? Anything fun and unique that showcases where you live. It can be food, an activity, art, books, anything. You can add some handmade touches like recipes, stories, or your own photographs, too. For more ideas, check out the content of our box below. To make sure it's an even swap, the value of each box should be around $20 (not including shipping).
- Send us your Vacation In A Box pics. We want to see what your area has to offer. And we're sure our readers do too. In fact, we'll be posting the pictures on Coveiter so readers can vacation all summer long.
- We will email you with your swap partner's mailing information, doing our best to pair each person up so that no one gets their own city/state. Then, drop your box in the mail and wish it farewell! The vacation package must arrive at its destination by Wednesday, July 2. Keep in mind that this swap is open international readers, so pay attention to extra postage needs.
- Sit back and wait for your vacation box to come to you! Share the experience with your family + friends and enjoy the cheapest vacation you've ever taken!
